For over 25 years, I performed leading roles in many of London's most iconic shows - from Starlight Express to Jersey Boys, CATS to Mamma Mia.

 

It's a career that gave me skills I'm grateful to have learned and strive to maintain (not to mention, some pretty crazy stories!). From the regular rejections to the thrill of opening nights, I’ve learned (the hard way!) what it takes to adapt and thrive in high-pressure environments.

While the transition from a successful stage career to the corporate world has been far from easy, I learned very quickly that the skills I honed under a relentless West End spotlight are essential in each and every business out there. (Yes, even yours).

 

Whether leading teams through change or trying to stay laser-focussed in uncertain times, the ability to adapt and communicate clearly under pressure is nearly always the difference between success and failure.

 

Just like in Theatre.

So, this is me, Matthew Cutts - Resilience and Hi-Impact Communication Specialist - the stage may've changed but the Job title hasn't. Now, I get to share the tools and techniques that helped me grow, thrive and succeed in one of the world's high-stakes, high-pressure environments. And I'm bloody lovin' it!
